Frontier Jet Express is the “express” product of Frontier Airlines that was launched in the year 2002 in the month of February. Frontier Airlines is a highly economical airline that has its base at Denver International Airport, in Denver, in the US state of Colorado, USA. The airlines operate flights to the US states that surround the Rockies. Frontier Jet Express was initially operated by Mesa Airlines that used CRJ-200 regional jets. Like “express” operations of other airlines, Frontier Jet Express became determined to serve the markets to and from Denver International Airport that do not engender sufficient traffic to back Frontier's smallest mainline jet, the Airbus A318. Nevertheless, it can offer lucrative business with a smaller jet.
