Babi Yar Park

Babi Yar Park is situated in Denver. It is a memorial park and designed in a semi-xeriscape pattern. The path system of the Babi Yar park is placed out in the shape of the Star of David. The park was made in a memorial of the 200,000 people who were killed by the Nazis in Kiev in the Second World War. Babi Yar Park was dedicated in the year of 1970.

Babi Yar is a ravine in Kiev which was the capital of Ukraine. Babi Yar park was established to give a respect to the victims of Babi Yar massacre. On the 29 and 30th September of 1941,German Nazis and their partners murdered thirty three thousand seven hundred and seventy one Jewish citizens in Babi Yar. It is famous as Babi Yar massacre in the history. This massacre is considered as the largest single massacre in the history of the Holocaust.

There are several monuments placed at three of the points. One point of the Star of David begins at the amphitheater and from it continues the Remembrance, a forested area with 100 linden trees surrounding a fountain. The third monument is situated at the Box Car Bridge. The gorge represents the ravine at which the massacre was occurred. The Babi Yar Park is truly a beautiful memorial but now the park needs some renovations which will definitely make the park more beautiful. There are a vast Wildlife sanctuary and Plants at the Babi Yar Park. A visit of this historical park will go to the days of history.
